In the 1st video Ms. Nolen talks about the people in Africa that she came in contact with, these people lived really really rough lives. She lived in Africa for 4years reporting for her newspaper in Canada. The deadly catch video dint come up so I don't know whats up with that. The Jaboya films are so sad almost brought a tear to my eye they shouldn't have to do that just to get some fish it makes no sense but i understand this is a poor country and they have to do what they need to do to  get what they need.


Questions:
1. Ithink it's because the people in Africa can't get the treatment they need because their country is poor.
2. I knew that it was bad but i hadn't figured it was that bad
3.They have a strange culture and don't take AIDS seriously
4. I think they need to have better health care and be more educated on the situation.

The 1st video basically talked about what a summary is saying that its a brief statement. Its also the brief restatement of a summaries idea. When searching library databases use 2 to 4 keywords avoid using more. Its important to cite you paper the correct way

How the U.S. handled the rise of AIDS vs how THAILAND and UGANDA did

I think that the U.S. ran the freak out. I'm just saying because they thought they would get effected just by touching the person and they acted like everybody had it because the police were wearing gloves and everything. Uganda took a more appropriate approach the situation they formed to deal with it and made support groups. Thailand i give them their props because they did the right thing from the start they tried to make things better by having sex education meetings. they passed condoms out to everybody they could. the U.S. was scared to discuss it that's why they didn't know the straight facts.

HIV/AIDS INTHE WORLD TODAY

The way I see it that the epidemic today has changed since it did back then.It can be treated more easily now with all types of drugs. Even though you don't be fully over it you do have better chances of surviving a little while longer. This disease is mostly always called the gay this is because its usually gay gays who have it. It's not true many people can get it no matter what orientation or race you are.I really don't know much about this disease because where I'm from i wasn't really discussed i haven't took a health class since middle school.

gay marriage debate

They gay marriage debate is about should gay couples get married or not. even though I could care less about what they do but if they want to get married let them do what they want to do they are people just like us straight people but the way I was raised is that marriage is a sacred bond between man and woman. God create Adam n Eve not Adam and Steve or Eve and Evelyn but if they want to get married let them do what they want. They don’t make arguments when we want to get married but when its them we have a big whole controversy over what’s human nature and what’s not trying to bring religion in or anything but I heard from some old people before that homosexuals will not make it to heaven because of what they are if they change their ways then maybe they have a chance but you can’t tell people how to run their lives.

Tell you the truth i really don't understand the statement logically but its a opinionated statement because how do they know that's what afflicting families maybe is social problems within the family

Differences in Marriages

I think it’s ridiculous how the marriage rules were enforced back in ancient times. In Ancient Greece marriage was in fact important but the father set up the arrangement for a couple, who never met before, doesn’t know anything about each other but they get married because they have to. The husband can go out and have sexual relations with prostitutes but the wife had no say in what he did and she had to stay in the house all the time and do nothing but housework that’s what the wife main purpose was and to have children. Men could easily divorce his wife. In Rome the husband can have his wife killed if he thought fit. All marriages were monogamous and they were usually in their late teens. The marriage laws were remarkably fair for women.

These rules remind me of the movie Coming To America when that lady was suppose to do everything Eddie Murphy wanted her to and she couldn’t say no and he had her looking like a dummy I thought it was funny.  The views for today are very different than the ones back in the day because now you’re not forced to get married really unless that’s your thing because many people believe that you have to because that’s a way of life one day I do want to get married but it’s going be a while because you don’t want to rush things.
